Fifth Grade Assignment


A fifth grade teacher in a Christian school asked her class to look at TV commercials and see if they could use them in 20 ways to communicate ideas about God.

Here are some of the results:

God is like...BAYER ASPIRIN He works miracles.

God is like...COKE He's the real thing. (This is great)

God is like...HALLMARK CARDS He cares enough to send His very best.

God is like...TIDE He gets the stains out others leave behind. ..

God is like...GENERAL ELECTRIC He brings good things to life.

God is like...WAL-MART He has everything.

God is like...ALKA-SELTZER Try Him, you'll like Him

God is like...SCOTCH TAPE You can't see Him, but you know He's there.

God is like...DELTA He's ready when you are.

God is like...ALLSTATE You're in good hands with Him.

God is like...VO-5 Hair Spray He holds through all kinds of weather

God is like...DIAL SOAP Aren't you glad you have Him? Don't you wish everybody did?
(that one is my favorite)

God is like...The U.S. POST OFFICE Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet nor ice will keep Him from
His appointed destination.

God is like....Chevrolet the heart beat of America

God is like...Maxwell House Good to the very last drop

God is like...Bounty He is the quicker picker upper. . Can handle the tough jobs. ..
And He won't fall apart on you

Honor Flight

Honor Flight is a program which sends WWII veterans to Washington D.C. for a day!! They get to visit all the memorials and Arlington National Cemetary!! This is free of charge to the veterans (paid for by companies like Hy-Vee and Casey's General Stores)! My grandpa was chosen to go on the flight today!!! Here are some pics from this morning!!

Labor Day Weekend Fun

Labor Day Weekend

I am headed to Minnesota today after work!! I go there every Labor Day weekend to hang out with my aunt and uncle. We will visit the renaissance faire and state fair!! I made a new outfit for this years renaissance faire. I will post a picture after this weekend!!!

The up coming two weeks

I know I don't write often...but I am letting you all know that this will definitely not be updated for two weeks starting this coming Monday. The Iowa State Fair starts on Wednesday and I am a devoted person!! I love the ISF(Iowa State Fair)!! I will be there nearly everyday for some reason or another!! If I could afford it I would take of the week and a half from work and just be at the fair 24/7!!!

As far as anything else, I am doing alright. Wanting to change things in life and just praying that out right now!! Learning alot in the book study I am doing!!! That's about it from here!!
